Siliphos® can be used as an useful approach for an healthy liver in case of liver stress.
In a human study on 85 participants with liver stress, individuals administered with Siliphos® have positive effect on liver enzyme levels and other markers. In particular, Siliphos® administration optimized insulinemia, alanine aminotransferase (ALT), and γ-glutamyl transpeptidase (γ -GT), independently from the individuals BMI.
In one study, after oral administration of simple silybin, its plasma levels and its conjugated metabolites plasma levels are below the analytical detection limit, whereas after oral administration of Siliphos® plasma levels of silybin are easily detectable, being well absorbed within few minutes thanks to the Phytosome formulation.
In another study comparing Siliphos® and simple silymarin’s administration, silybin was detectable in plasma within few minutes, peaked after 1 h and its plasma levels remained stable for over 6 hours, in case of Siliphos®.
The amount of silybin reaching the bile after Siliphos® administration was positively appreciable compared tosilymarin.
