Global sustainability challenges

Everyone knows today’s world is facing big challenges. And overcoming big challenges requires us to take bold action.

Challenge 1: BIODIVERSITY LOSS

GLOBAL ACTION: We need to ensure species’ survival as well as protect and restore ecosystems as 75% of land surface is altered.

Challenge 2: FOOD WASTE

GLOBAL ACTION: We need to eradicate food waste, because almost 14% of food is wasted along the supply chain.

Challenge 3: CLIMATE CHANGE

GLOBAL ACTION: We need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to stay under 1.5 °C of global warming compared to pre-industrial levels.

Challenge 4: HEALTH ISSUES

GLOBAL ACTION: We need to ensure healthy lives and promote wellbeing at all ages.

Challenge 5: SOCIAL VULNERABILITY

GLOBAL ACTION: We need to provide a decent income and livelihood to the 9.2% of the world who survive on less than $1.90/day.
